Exhibits in the Philippines have gone through changing times, and we will be giving you a brief background on how it has developed.

There were only a few malls in the Metro Manila area when the Philippine International Convention Center was completed in the 70's. The PICC, which was hailed as Southeast Asia's first full-fledged convention center, hosted meetings and conventions through its existence.

During the 90's, the SM Megamall was built and it has one of the first trade halls in the country - the Megatrade Hall. In addition, the World Trade Center Metro Manila was also revealed to the public.

Fast forward to the millennium, malls are being built gradually, which mean more business opportunities to explore for businessmen to showcase their goods and services - at this time, third-party companies also marketed specific spaces for companies in real estate and banking industries. Eventually, mall administrators took over the operations being done by the third-parties.

At present, events companies organize Expos, Trade Fairs and Bazaars catering to different audiences. This was made evident by the establishment of the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City in 2007. Inside these Expos, booths are arranged accordingly, either through the use of fascia panels or custom designs.

At present, there are more than 10 major venues scattered across the country that caters to companies who are holding Expos and Conventions.

Among the events companies who are organizing Expos is ExLink. For 15 years, ExLink has produced, organized and managed numerous events throughout the metro, eventually gaining its reputation as a Business Events Organizer.
